I am getting an error message: The scanner unit is open (it isn’t) When replacing ink cartridges, close the scanner unit after replacing the cartridges.

Had the same problem with my old epson and i had to reopen-reclose the lid every time i had to print something. I’ve come to the conclusion that epson’s low-end printers are not very reliable. Also, have you been reloading it with not authentic ink? This can cause them to malfunction in the long run (corporate trick most manufacturers pull on us).
