Hello, I urgently need some advice about my Edenpure heater and would appreciate your help! My Edenpure 1000XL (four years old) gives out hot air for about five minutes after being turned on; then there is a slight metallic sound and then the heater blows out progressively cooler air, before shutting down (thought the lights are on). Has anyone had a similar experience? Is it the bulbs/filaments that need changing, or d fan or thermostat? Ill be very grateful for any advice, as I cant seem to find an electrician or handyman who works on room heaters near my place. Thanks!

Hi @philomena88 , Don’t know your heater but the troubleshooting guide for the heater mentions a hi-limit switch. To me it appears that it is operating to shutdown the heater due to it overheating, or thinks it is overheating. Looking at the section headed Overheating/Heat No fan it may be due to one of the listed causes, i.e as the fan is operating and presumably not clogged with dust, it may be a faulty fan sensor or the hi-limit switch. Here’s a link to the contact details for EdenPure. Perhaps you could contact them and ask if there is an authorized service agent in your area that you could contact regarding a service call etc. Just a thought.
