I have a MacBook Pro 17" Early 2011. The trackpad barely works and I would like to replace the trackpad, but don’t see any manuals / steps on how to do it. Understand that the actual part is about $60. Need help!!!

Check the battery for swelling first. 90% of the time it is the battery and not the trackpad giving you the problem.
