Chosen Solution
I cracked the screen on my iphone 7, then it was raining and i think some got inside the phone. The ear piece speaker will intermittently work/not work. Itll pop and crackle when it changes from working to not working. Changed the screen, changed the ear piece. no change. No visible damage inside the phone. Any ideas?
I would open it up again and focus on the Front Camera Flex. If the water is the cause of your issue, check to see if there is any corrosion on the circular gold contact pads on the flex or on the surrounding circuitry. I would also insect the connector itself to see if any corrosion or other damage occurred.
