I have got a replacement ear speaker I’m going to fit. Watching the how to videos they all say I needed to separate both halves of the iphone 7 plus . ie disconnecting the digitiser ribbon etc. Can’t I just keep them Connected, prop the phone up and just replace the speaker?
That would be a pretty bad idea that would probably lead to a new question tomorrow such as “replaced ear speaker, now my screen and touch id don’t work, why ?” ;) First disconnect battery, then all the rest and follow this very helpful illustrated guide: iPhone 7 Plus Earpiece Speaker Replacement
