The DVD plays sound but there is no picture. I replaced the HDMI cable and the problem remains. If I unhook the Bose system and install a different DVD player directly to my TV, I get both the sound and the picture

Possible reasons: The connection uses a HDMI-to-DVI adapter.The connection uses a HDMI-to-DVI cable.The TV may not be set to the appropriate HDMI video input.You are trying to play a MPEG2 Program Stream (PS) file.The HDMI cable may be faulty.Now, it’s not difficult to troubleshoot the DVD playing without sound issue.
