Update An update on my macbookpro. Its completely working now, after a few weeks i guess . I didnt get the chance to replace it though, cause the other day i was about to test to see if it doesn’t make a sound, so i did and then I put on a cd in the drive and it worked and played (it was harry potter). But on the second try the cd got stuck, wihtout the drive detecting it and just accepted it in. And i went to terminal where i typed in “drutil eject” and the voila it came out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqWOgeWe…
This is due to the fact that pressure was applied to the right side of the computer and damage the CD Drive. This can happen when you put stuff on top of your macbook, putting it in a pack book bag or case, or just holding the computer only on the right side. With that being said, you can fix this one of two ways. you can order a super drive off ebay for around $60 and follow this guide to fix it.
