Chosen Solution
I bought a dsi off of eBay, and I had to replace the top screen. After reassembling the unit, I held the power button, and nothing happened. I plugged it into my charger, and the charge light won’t even blink, just nothing. I checked the F1 fuses on the motherboard and the power board, and they are intact. I checked the connections for the ribbon cables to the top screen, and they seem OK, what is wrong???????? I will check the connections again, but I don’t think that they are the problem.
If you’ve plugged your charger into the port and you’re not getting an indicator light on then it’s gotta be 1 of 2 fuses (assuming you’ve checked with the multi-meter on continuity mode) OR your charge port has lifted from the motherboard. Double check the port on the board to see if it’s all seated correctly.
