I replaced my dryer drive belt, but when I start it, there is a metal scraping and a thumping sound.
@jeepstergirl check to make sure you guided the belt properly around the idler pulley. This will of course depend on your model. If you still have it open you can even post some images of the belt routing etc. with your question. That way we can see what you see. Use this guide for that.
