I Can se the apps and acces Them. It read the Q and A, regarding The IPAD 1 about, and gently hit firm on the corner, screen almost came back to normal. And re attachinf the screen Cabel again. We played a video and 2 minuts into it, screen turned all Black , with a Grey field Rolling from left of the screen towards the middel, and the starting over again.

you could try a light tap on the back were the apple logo is. this area is the location of your display connector. 9/10 it works but if not you would have to take the screen off and reseat the cable. hope this works.

In case the issue comes back, or is not fixed by lightly tapping on the outer shell, step two would be to remove the digitizer (the external glass) and the LCD following instructions posted here, then re-assembling the whole thing: Option 1: after ordering a new LCD display cable connecting the LCD to the logic-board (steps 28 and 29 of the guide), changing it, and securing it with (preferably Kapton) tape. Option 2: without changing the old display cable, but at least removing it from both connectors (on the logic board AND the screen), then reseating and securing it with Kapton tape. You have to test it to make sure that disconnecting it and reconnecting did fix the issue before re-assembly. Note: by securing the display cable, I mean putting a small piece of tape over the latch of the cable, to prevent it from popping up and/or preventing the tip of the cable from moving (ever slightly) about, which causes the display to malfunction.

So I tried hitting it softly when it turned green and nothing happened, then my big sister hit it a lil harder and still nothing and then my baby sister hit it n knocked the $@$* outta it and BAM it was fixed!! (HIT IT HARD AS !&&*) that always gets the job done!

I put my iPad face down on my sofa as suggested here. Hit it firmly on the logo and presto! Thanks guys for confirming that this worked. I wouldn’t have believed it enough to keep trying otherwise.

Seems like your inner screen (LCD) has gone. All you need to do is to order a replacement screen online and fix it using online tutorials available on you tube but if you are not confident about your technical skills then take it to some hardware shop.

Miraculously the (not so) light tap on the Apple logo worked for me.

Again a drop and my screen had green overtones. I followed the answers, put my ipad screen down on the bed and then a hard, with the heel of my hand, strike on the apple. All OK again now. many thanks for the advice.

Love you man! You saved me the expense and effort of replacing the screen or a trip to the Genius Bar. I rapped on it hard with my knuckles, a little skeptical re: this. But it worked perfectly! It’s not a tap, not a punch. It’s a hard rapping right on the apple logo. Thanks again!

Worked for me as well. The iPad dropped from a viewing position to flat on a table and began to show lines across it with a shade of green. Wife suggested genius bar, etc. THIS ANSWER worked Great! Placed it face down on a soft surface (dog bed) and gave it a good hit with the edge of my palm. It didn’t work the first few times but I increased the intensity and VIOLA. Thanks for the hlep

I tapping worked for me too but the image is not completely clear, the background image is a little pixelized.

this didnt even work this is sometrash advice

It’s advice and his option just like @%^$$@$# everyone has one but take it or leave it. Don’t be hard on a person be thankful they took their time of of their busy day to post this video. Well thank you I’ll work on my ipad

Thanks for posting! I do appreciate it weather this works for me or not it’s the effort
