Hi all. I dropped my 2016 15” MBP a couple months ago on the top left corner. There’s a little dent from that, but everything is fine, except for these lines that appear on the display. I thought I could hold out for the new 16” MBP but who knows when/if that’s coming, so I want to see if this is repairable. Can anyone tell from these images exactly which component is damaged?
Yes, your system is repairable but its not going to be cheap! You need a new display assembly, these are new displays: MacBook Pro 15" Complete Display - Silver (16/17) Apple P/N 661-08031MacBook Pro 15" Complete Display - Space Grey (16/17) Apple P/n 661-08030 There are some cheaper options but they will be used screens which will have some blemishes.
