door switch was bad installed new switch dryer still wont work by pass switch and dryer works
@hoglover , Bobby, It sounds like they may of sold you a faulty new lid switch or wrong switch(compare to old switch to verify proper switch), if you push it in manually or test it unhooked with a DVOM and the circuit stays open when pushed in, then switch is definitely faulty. If you test the switch and it is OK, check to see if something is broken off the lid(pin/probe)that should be push on the lid switch to activate it(your model may not have this) check that the connections(spade terminals) fit on the terminals good and tight.
