Hello the phone is not charging i just want to ask how to verify if the cable is connected and charging ? before assuming that its an ic problem also i want to ask , i checked the battery voltage and it was 4.36 , is it because of the high battery voltage that the phone is not charging ? another ting is , i saw a video for charging troubleshooting , he put the terminals of the voltmeter , -ve in the metals covering motherboard , +ve in the dot just under the battery port ( while battery plugged in ) to check the battery raising or lowering in charge , i did it , i saw a spark, then when i try to measure battery voltage , it’s 0 volt , what happened ? i tried to turn on the phone by power supply and it works thank god , but what happened to the battery ? it’s still at 0 voltage thank you in advance
Battery is probably short circuited (You have probably burnt out the gas gauge board / or the battery itself located at the bottom of the battery) and the battery will need to be replaced. In the future I would strongly not recommend shorting terminals unless you know what you are doing. Better than having a paperweight phone.
