i accidentally scratched it when scraping back glass off and the phone will not turn on. iPhone 8, 64bg. My local repair company said they can attempt a repair and they do repair logic boards but if it’s unsuccessful they will charge £20 and £85 if it is. Does this seem repairable if not I don’t want to waste £20. If it’s not repairable anyone know a cheap supplier of logic boards with Touch ID?
If the board is not bent or water damaged it should be repairable. But it all comes down to how experienced the repairer is. Most good repairers only charge when its fixed, you will only have to pay for postage if they cannot fix it. The scratching should not be a problem unless you disturbed a component under the sticker but even so it shouldn’t take much to diagnose and repair.
There is absolutely no way to know if this board is repairable or not from this picture. Nothing here says “this isn’t repairable” but we can’t see much of the board at all.
