I’m trying to find a replacement spring my for XL’s left shoulder button. Does the original 3DS (or even the old DS) use the same size spring? If so, I can cannibalize my old one. thanks Will

The springs on these are the same. I have never actually switched them, but from looking at them from my parts bins they look to be identical to the naked eye. I would try taking one from the 3DS you have. Here is a pic of them side by side.
