I know that there are some proximity sensor issues with after market iphone display made from china. And I am on the same problem TT. recently, I had bought a low-quality display assembly. and the proximity seneor doesnt work on the assembly. the sensor isnt broken. I checked it. so, the question is this. does the screen assembly that I can buy here fully support the proximity sensor function?
The issue with iPhone 8 screens is the Ambient Light Sensor and TruTone functionality. Currently, Apple has not fixed this issue in iOS so you will either have to “accept it” as-is until Apple decides to address the issue or get a a special screen programmer (or find a shop that has one). Unfortunately, Apple has decided to punish owners who dare to fix things themselves :-(.
