Hello, I’ve got a non-working iPad 2. I replaced the battery but I don’t have a touchscreen for this device. Now, the iPad gets warm around the A5 Chip but there’s nothing to see on the display. If I connect it to a Mac or PC, there’s no reaction, neither in iTunes, nor on the iPad’s display. My question is: Is it actually possible to see something on the display with no touchscreen connected? Greets Thomas
The Touch panel is just an array of capacitors, there is nothing changing even if you don’t connect them. If the unit is not responsive, hard reset it and try again. If it still doesn’t come back to life then the repair is going to be more expensive
