Hello. i´ve bought a intel i7 875K for my iMac mid 2010 27. could it be that the 875k is not supported? i have no display after changing the cpu.
Yes to nonsupport - to eliminate EFI/OS problems you have to stick with CPUs that Apple offered to that logic board… If this Answer is helpful please remember to return and mark it Accepted.
It technically works, but it doesn’t seem to have any benefit and you will need a fan solution (like Macs Fan Control).
