Hi All, My iphone 3GS 16 GB with IOS 5.0 got switched off while talking and now never gets on. It starts heating up if I connect to charger? Please let me know what should I replace? Update I did change the battery with no help. It still heats up so much I worry and end up unplugging it. Sigh ….
Heating up while charging is a common problem associated with a bad PMIC (Power Management IC) chip on logic board. I would try a new battery…just in case, before messing with board.
