Only sporadically receives calls and says call failed when placing calls. If turned off and then back on, will work for a short period of time. Have reset, restored and then reauthorized with AT&T.
Hardware failure. It could be a lot of things. Check the headphone connector. If there is a short it will turn the device off. Check the data connector also. Make sure there isn’t anything in the connector. Make sure the pins in the connector are not bent. It can also be a bad battery.
I’d replace the dock connector which houses the antenna flex on it’s base. Click on the links for repair guides to the right under photo of the phone
