There is an Apple replacement program for some Macbook Pro’s of 2011 and 2012: https://www.apple.com/uk/support/macbook… Is there a way of knowing whether my graphics card is affected? Maybe with my Mac’s or graphics card’s serial number? Or do I really need to book an appointment at the Genius Bar?
There is not a way to tell by the serial number. Are you having any issues? Does the progress boot bar stop at about 60% of the way through? Have you had ant screen artifacts?
From what Apple is saying, they need to run their custom networked tools (what I understand is that they boot off of their network, then individually test all components) to verify eligibility.
