Hi! I just bought a MacBook Pro 2012 and it’s screen is broken. I’m going to buy a new one, how do I identify if it’s retina or not? Thanks in advance

Hi! I think you will find this link useful: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201300 You have a list here with all serial numbers of all MacBooks since 2009, just check yours and compare it with the 2012 lineup.

If there is no “MacBook Pro” on the screen bezel, and if there is no optical drive installed, it’s a Retina.
