Chosen Solution
So… I was fixing my iPad mini 2 and accidentally ripped out a piece that seems for the iPad. So I just need to know if I messed something up and if I can get replacement or if its nothing and I can forget about it.
That part is a small magnet attached to some screen adhesive. It is not necessary to reinstall this part unless you use a smart cover. For that location, it is only there to hold the cover in the “closed” position. Best of luck completing your repair!
It`s magnet to attach the flip cover from outside in a correct position.
