not all riding mowers have an oil filter. Knowing the model of the ENGINE as opposed to the model of the tractor will be able to get you a better answer of whether or not your specific murray has one and if so which replacement to purchase. Generally speaking, the smaller engines do not have an oil filter instead they rely on replacing the oil at more regular intervals. Oftentimes, along the right side of the mower or under the seat of the mower will be a chart with part numbers for replacement parts, if no oil filter is listed it likely does not require one.
