I recently reset the PMU on my iBook to help solve a problem with start-up from the power button stalling & now have no additional add ons in the dock..for instance no red number on the Mail icon to show new mail items & no white lights below the Applications to show theyre in use..Ive looked in Dock & Mail Preferences but cant find anything to help..Im running Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.8..
Try creating a new user, and then log in as that new user – does the dock work correctly for the new user? If so, then it’s a problem with your original user and you can start trying to move your settings over to the new user. Otherwise, post back and we’ll think of something else to try.
