Yep, thats my question) have an extra housing with bezel from 3g and a friend with an iphone 3gs who needs this replacement… Can this situation be beneficial for both of us?=) Thanks! Update Thank you! But Im more concerned about the bezel…,i know that the housing itself fits fine…But the bezels are they the same in 3g/3gs? Because mine is already attached to the housing! ????
Hello all! So today I actually tried what I described here… So what can I tell you… The 3g housing really fits the 3gs internals, exept the cam holder, but its on adhesev so dont be scared to pull it cuz u wont break it… Now the unpleasant part…The 3g bezel is different in one place (over the mini jack)…, which makes it impossible to screw the mini jack back, it sits tight ofcourse, but nothing holds it. Its funny cuz the mini jacks are exactly the same!)) I as it would seem to me the 3gs bezel fits perfectly the 3g phone… Writing this here because, i couldnt find it anywhere…,so I hope it will helps somebody…
yes and but you need to swap the camera holder. The little black moulding on the backplate of the 3gs is roundish and the 3g is squarish (maybe vice versa) but otherwise they are identical.
