I haven’t completed this type of repair yet, but I heard from a reputable source that the t1 chip not only allows access to the Touch ID but also the FaceTime camera dose that mean if I replace the screen the FaceTime camera will not work

I just did a screen replacement (display assembly swap out) a few weeks ago on a 13" model didn’t have any issues.
