I am upgrading the ram in my iMac G5 A1145 model comp. and am not very computer savy, was wondering if i need to back up info like pictures and music?
no, there is nothing permanent stored in RAM, its contents are lost whenever you power down your computer anyhow. you can freely upgrade your RAM - all your data is stored on your hard drive
