Hi Folks, i got an iPhone 5. My Pal crashed it to the Floor an few months ago, the Display was broke. He gave it to an very cheap repairman who replaced the Display. My Pal didnt use it since then because he buy a new Smartphone. Now he want to sell it but it seems that the Display doenst work very well - there are white Stripes all over the Display an very low constrast. Its to late to complain at the repairman who replaced it. What do you think it is? Garbage-Replacement-Display? bad connection inside? what should i check ? greetings
Guten tag Baumgardt1. Most repair shops offer some kind of warranty on their work. I don’t know what is standard in Germany/Austria so you should reach out to the repair shop and see what they say. You either have a a screen connection issue or a defective screen. Did it ever work properly after the repair? If you want or have to do things yourself, then the first thing to try is to re-seat the connectors. Open the device following this guide. Always disconnect the battery first and keep track of the screws. Putting the wrong screws in place can cause serious damage to the logic board. If that doesn’t solve your problem, than you have a defective replacement screen. You can find a good one here.
