Chosen Solution
Hi,
I replaced the broken screen of my iPhone 8 with the one sold by iFixit. I followed the detailed guide and everything went ok. It works but I have noticed some issues. Problem is that it feels too responsive and/or sensitive and sometimes not responsive at all.
Some examples: the 3D touch after replacement was very sensitive; with ‘medium’ it was always recognised as 3D touch even if I was barley touching the screen. After rebooting the iPhone, the 3D touch is very hard to get even with the light setting.Sometimes it fails to work, e.g. touching the arrow to go back several times before it works (not always on the same spot)While scrolling down/up, it selects where I am touching (most annoying problem) Do you think it is software issue? Replacement procedure went smooth and I don’t think I made any mistake but, could it be that something went wrong?
Cheers, Matteo
The first thing I would do would be to contact iFixit support. If it is a faulty screen, they will replace it under warranty. https://help.ifixit.com/
