Chosen Solution
After replacing the iPhone 5 screen with iFixit kit the display turns off when I put the phone back together. The screen works fine if the iPhone is open. But, no matter how I adjust the display ribbon cables or reconnect them I still have the same problem. Anyone have an idea to fix this problem?
Hi, Possible faulty part, get them to send out a replacement, if it does the same, then it is a different hardware issue. :-)
Likely a defective screen, send a message to iFixit and ask for a replacement. Also make sure the backlight flex is properly covered and insulated.
