My display doesn’t work but whenever I take a screenshot it shows up on the connected iCloud account. Is this problem fixable by replacing the screen with a new OLED? (Water damage might be a factor)
Smart move taking pictures and checking iCloud! Good news is that phone still works, bad news is that if you had liquid damage it may be a temporary status as metal gets eaten up quite fast after oxidizing starts. Being the XS Max a pretty valuable piece of hardware I’d suggest having it looked up by a reputable repair shop that has tools and skills to deal with liquid damage properly. If you feel confident taking the risk of a DIY repair, attempting a screen replacement would certainly be the first step worth trying.
