Chosen Solution

Hi iFixers, So I’ve replace my wife’s display assembly twice after a rough bike ride last summer and still I get no display. The video card works because she can plug into an external monitor. The webcam works, the wifi works and the display data cable and connector look fine. An employee at the Apple store said that swapping the display assembly should do the trick, but as I Said, this is the second one that doesn’t work and they also quoted me 700$ to get the job done! … I got them both of of eBay, so there is a possibility that they were actually damaged, but really? Two different sellers, two malfunctioning screens? Does any one have an explanation or better yet, a SOLUTION?

Thanks a bunch!

To test these you have to have a fully working machine. Most individuals selling on eBay have no way to test, so they just send them out and hope they work. Therefor when I buy one I get it from large distributors with excellent reputations and high ratings. Prices for these are going to be high. Companies I have had good luck with are iFixit (which, currently is out of stock). Beetstech is very good. I’ve had good luck with cplwholesale, https://www.ebay.com/str/cplwholesale also laptop service center http://www.ebaystores.com/laptopservicec
