Chosen Solution

Hello, I have a Macbook Pro 2012 A1278 A year and half ago I little bit of spilled coffee on it. TODAY I decided to opened it to clean the LOGIC BOARD and all components just to make it CLEANER to keep working for longer. HOWEVER When I was removing BOTH the keyboard and keyboard light RIBBONS and it was so hard to pull it from the CLIP. BUT I did remove, then I cleaned the BOARD and everything looked really GOOD TO GO. NOW Everything is 100% in place except the KEYBOARD AND LIGHT ribbon that doesn’t GO inside the CLIP. I tried to force a little bit but I am AFRAID to break something. WHAT CAN I DO? Use WD40? Heat? Anything else? It is just DIRT that is kind of glued inside of it…. I can’t even see it because it is inside the CLIP.

Use 90+% IP alcohol and a soft toothbrush to clean the connectors . Did you lift the leavers when removing the cable ? This video may be of help https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEs6Nl34… Hope this helps
