Hi. Today i changed Hard drive as a SSD. Before i started, i read again and again ifixit’s manual. I opend the display and changed the hard drive. And tuned imac on. Then suddenly i see bold black line at display. It is nearly 1/10 of display. (It seems like display became a barcode) Here is picture. https://instagram.com/p/BOGdKA8gZ-R/ Should i change a display as a new one? Or can i fix it by myself? Please help me new display is sooo expensive.
Ouch! Sorry to tell you in the process of removing the display you managed to damage it. Don’t feel bad I killed two! These are not easy to take off without using the correct tools and using care. Here’s one source for a replacement: iMac 21.5" LCD Panel & Front Glass Assembly (12/13) : Grade-A
