I recently replaced a dead digitizer on my Ipad Air. When I completed the repair everthing was working fine. I used the Ipad for about two days, then I put it in a case and turned it off and put it in my woodshop (Its a backup Ipad and I don’t use it very much). That was about 3 weeks ago. When I turned it on today the digitizer was dead again. What is the most likely source of the problem? I don’t have another digitizer to test if its faulty, but is that the most likely problem?
When you say the digitizer is dead, do you mean you can see the screen like normal but it won’t respond to touch? If that’s the case, then I would open it up again and inspect the connections and everything else you touched during the initial repair. If everything looks fine, then only another digitizer would allow you to properly troubleshoot this. If you can’t see the screen, then your problem is elsewhere.
