Hi fellow techs, I need a little help. The digitizer was replaced on my wife’s IPad 6 generation. I am having charging issues along with reboots. When plugging the tablet in, shows charging @ 62%, after 4 hours of charging it will go no higher than 62 %. When I unplug the tablet the battery level drops to 1% , if does not reboot, it will show battery level at 58%. You plug it back in it shows 62%. Any thoughts or suggestions would definitely be appreciated.
Problem most likely is if the battery was disconnected from the logic board using the thin card method it is probably just some debris blocking the connection between the board and the battery. You’ll need to clean up and reseat the connection of the battery connector which most of the time will fix this. I personally lift up the connector a bit with my nail with just enough space to have a soft bristle brush with 99% isopropyl alcohol on it to clean the connector gold contacts.
