My phone has weird issues. The number six will not type, I have replaced the digitizer twice and the issue remains. I bought a magnifier to take photos of the port and this is what I found. Is this a hard fix? Can I buy one large part with it already attached? Do I need to learn to microsolder? Thank you for your help!
Hi Leslie. Abdulmajeed is correct in saying that a connector replacement is hard, however I would not advise you to spend any money on connectors or kits or anything else. These connectors have a narrow pitch and are in a densely populated area of the logic board. Unless you have a very fine point, temperature-controlled soldering iron, very thin solder (which is very expensive) and a lot of exprience, it is just not something feasible for a novice to do. You will likely melt through several connectors before you get anywhere close a decent solder joint and then you will have 33 more connections to make. If you value this phone, then find a micro-soldering repair shop and have them do it for you. On a separate note, the picture looks to me like there is debris inside the connector so perhaps it is not physically damaged but just dirty. Try to blow it out with compressed air or a soft brush.
Hi Leslie, Sorry for your iPhone _-.-!
- the digitiser connector need to be replaced
- the difficulty = Hard
- Yes you need skills in micro soldering but you can do it if you buy the kit and watch the learning videos to make the fix properly . ^,^
This looks more like the black sponge on the ftp connectors have gotten in? Just give it a light rub with a toothbrush and see if that removes it?
