Hello, I have fixed hundreds of phones and after replacing the first time Screen on and Iphone 7, I noticed the digitizer works great but you have to be holding the phone. If you put the phone down and try to use the digitizer, it will not work. If I have the phone on a table and touch the metal frame it will work but only touching the glass the digitizer doesn’t respond. I a guessing it is a ground issue, but was wondering if anyone else has a solution. Thank you
It sounds as if you just have a faulty replacement. If possible, try the old screen (IF WORKING) or another replacement screen to see if you are experiencing the same thing. I have not personally had this happen to me yet but googled the issue and found that the majority of replies suggest replacing it as a bad display after testing with a known good screen as a troubleshooting check.
