Chosen Solution
I just got the screen replaced with a third party retailer, and now the bottom of the screen is not responsive to touch. More specifically, I can type on the keyboard but I can’t press the space bar. I’m wondering if this is because they did it wrong or if this is not a genuine part. Thanks!
Zack Schmiesing, it is my experience that anytime you only have a certain area of the digitizer that is not working, you have a defective part. I would contact the vendor and ask for a replacement.
