Can someone explain me the differences between the Samsung 512GB SSD Part Numbers MZ-JPU512T/0A6MZ-JPV5120/0A4MZ-JPV512S/0A4 and post a complete list which specific MacBook and iMad models they are compatible with? I came across What’s the difference between MZ-JPV5120/0A4 and MZ-JPV512S/0A4?, which brings me to the conclusion that the number at the very end indicates the number of “lanes” (despite the chart there, no idea what this actually means). Other than that, I wasn’t able to find much info.

@danj Hi Dan, It looks like I might have the MZ-JPV5120 (512GB PCIe 3.0x4 SSD) AHCI Protocol version, as seen here: Samsung SSUBX PCIe 3.0 x4  Apple Blade SSD I am trying to figure out if it would be possible to take this drive out to get a copy of my data. Perhaps a PCIe to USB converter of some type. This drive has a 12+16 pin interface. I found this on amazon, do you think it will work? It mentions support for the Samsung MZ-JPU but nothing about then MZ-JPV… 12+16 pin (28pin) to USB 3.0 Adapter for 2013-2014 Macbook SSD - A1465 It looks like I need this one: QNINE USB 3.0 PCIe SSD Enclosure for 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 MacBook Air Pro Retina, USB External Reader for A1465 A1466 A1398 A1502 SSD Adapter with Case (Support 12+16 pin)
