Hi all, Been a bit stumped on this: a few months ago, my MSI GS63VR started dying the moment the AC adapter was removed, despite being fully charged on battery. I assumed this might be a faulty battery, so just recently replaced and installed, but no change. I’ve attempted to do an MSI battery calibration, but it just powers down the computer the moment I hit go, with no change after restart/recharge. I’ve been searching high and low, but a bit stumped — would be really grateful if anyone could offer some advice/wisdom/perspective. thanks a ton! matthew
This is a long shot, but try disconnecting the battery and the BIOS CMOS battery. The little, coin sized, black disc under the battery with the black and red wires. Press the power on button to discharge any capacitors on the motherboard. Otherwise probably a motherboard problem. This is a good video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chpfoDXw…
