Review this guide: MacBook Air 13" Early 2015 Battery Replacement look at both pictures in Step 3 Update (06/29/2020) All I see is you bent up the connector body, you didn’t unplug the connection. Think of it like a power cord plug connecting into a wall plate, a male connector end and a female connector end. The connection is straight out following the direction of the batteries cable, like the lamp cord.
