I damaged the “MLB side” labeled end of the connector on the display data cable APN#: 922-9811. I need to replace it and am having problems removing the “LCD side” labeled end from the display. (Straight up from bottom to top) Am I missing something on how to release the cable from the connector without using unnecessary force? I’ve read the manuals and/or watched the videos on this site, as well as OWC, and crucial. Ive not found any detailed instructions or unobstructed photos of this process.
Found the problem. Factory applied black tape was covering the release tab.
