Hi guys, I am looking for a new Display because mine is faulty. My question is now which one can I use? LM215WF3 SD A1 ? Or also another one? LM215WF3 SL A1 LM215WF3 S B1 and so on? And is there a possibility to check the display itself without testing it on my iMac? Beacuse Iam not sure if it the connector or the Mainboard. By the way: Display is black an external is working, 4th led off Thank you very much for help!
Frankly I’d replace the backlight board first as it’s cheaper. Apple part #661-5537. LED #4 Indicates that the computer and the LCD display panel are communicating. This LED will be ON when the computer is turned on and video signal is being generated. If the LED is ON and there is no image on the LCD display panel, the LCD display panel or inverter might be installed incorrectly or need replacement.
