Hi there, I want to replace the gpu chip on a MSI APACHE PRO. I want to know if I can use any generic laptop 1060 as long as its the same chip. I also believe its soldered on but I saw another source say that some are socketed?

Jenna Williams yes, any generic laptop 1060 as long as its the same chip. That particular processor may have been used in many other devices, so it won’t matter where you get it from as long as it is the same.
