What is the best way to replace the cable?
keith, fairly easy job to remove and replace the engine brake cable. Check the attached links, video instruction and guide on changing the cable. Good luck. Buy the replacement part and install it. Fairly easy did mine a week ago. Most hardware stores etc. have a brake cable. Make sure to measure the length of cable that broke and buy one bit bigger to ensure you have enough cable length. (ie your broken cable measures 24 3/4 inches and the store has replacement cable that is 25 and one that’s 27 buy the 27 inch) https://www.manualslib.com/manual/114958… In case you needed a manual as well.
