i just recently got my self a calculator from US,it has a dead pixel line. Anyway i can fix it?

Unfortunately, this is a common problem with the TI-83 Plus. Over time, the glue that holds the screen ribbon cable together starts to fail and causes screen artifacts like yours. It will only get worse and requires soldering skills to fix. There’s a repair topic on a calculator forum called Cemetech: https://www.cemetech.net/forum/viewtopic

Texas Instruments TI-83 Plus Motherboard & Screen ReplacementThis is the guide for replacing Motherboard and LCD. in one go. however if you can solder you might be able to find a new display and solder it on. no matter what, step one, would be opening the device to look for an obvious error like a loose connection. and if the component is broken. look for an identifying number and find a replacement online.
