I recently bought a fully working iphone 6s for like 25$ with a cracked screen. I started dissassembling it, and i ripped one of the ribbon cables while opening it. The phone was a toy for me so i just didnt care, when i plugged it in the itunes started recognizing it. while i was thinking it was turned off i unplugged the screen and saw a spark. i think i fried something in the internals, because the itunes wont show the message anymore. is there a way i can bring it back to life? next week ill have to, so ill call a phone repair shop and ask if they have a iphone 6s screen, to test it. thanks for any responds. <33
You will need to rule out the screen first but from experience if you didn’t disconnect the battery and there was a spark than it is very likely there will be damaged components on the logic board. Some models of iPhones can be forgiving when a screen replacement is done without disconnecting the battery but it is not the case with the 6s. You have the right idea about getting a repair shop to try another screen as the repair for what you have described will be more than an upgraded phone.
