I have changed sound IC on 11 different iPhone 7 the last week without any problem.
But today I run into big problems. both removal and install when good, except loosing one pad, luckly it was NC one.
After reassamble the whole board is totaly dead. Not a life sign at all.
Someone have any idea how to proceed?
Have you checked the main and PMIC voltage rails to see if there are any shorts? Look specifically at those that power the audio IC first (PP1V8_VA, PP_VDD_BOOST & PP1V8_SDRAM) and then check the others. If the reballing went well and you didn’t apply too much heat, it may be just a short under the IC or a slightly dislodged component. If you had to put a lot of heat on the board, then the issue may be on the flip side with the BB ic.
